Background
Initially established for HIV & AIDS infected patients, but has since opened doors for all patients in need of hospitalisation.
Services rendered
- Patients discharged from hospital but still in need of respite care
- Those referred or discovered by our home-based carers during their daily routine
- Terminally ill patients
Success Stories
- Most of our garden volunteers and home-based cares are our former patients who were very ill and were nursed back to health.
Challenges
Some patients are displaced when discharged from hospice due to either being rejected by family members or being unable to pay rentals due to loss of income.
Operational costs of the Hospice do not equate to the Government funding. |
